Circuit Design
The transformer in the BeesNeez M49 Clone is BV-11t, which is a 10:1 toroidal transformer, wound with pure copper wire around a ribbon taped mumetal core.
The capsule is the BeesNeez M7 microphone capsule which is hand made in the BeesNeez Australian factory from the original gun barrel material that Neumann used more than 65 years ago. Sonically, the BeesNeez M7 is a match for the original Neumann M7. The main reason for the popularity of this capsule is its realistic analogy of the source material, its great mathematic proximity, and its sultry overtones.
The tube choice for the BeesNeez M49 Clone microphone is a 6S6B-V Russian Military tube, which behaves very much like the AC701k.
